“My first year” 2019

In 2019 my daughter started a new exciting journey: competitive gymnastics. I decided to tag along and document it, with its ups and downs, happy moments, frustration and resilience. A beautiful group of 8 year old girls in Melbourne, Australia, competing for the first time, working through their emotions.

Some of these images are part of an ongoing exhibition called "Youth and Sport, The Power of Resilience", organized by Hispanic Women Photographers at the "Maison du Sport International", in Lausanne, Switzerland.
